Nigerian Defence Academy: Armed Forces Selection Board Interview For The 64th Regular Courses, 2012/2013 Session

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) provide each officer cadet with knowledge, skills and values necessary to meet the requirements of a military officer through military, academic and character development. In essence, the NDA is an institution where selected young able-bodied men and women are groomed into well educated, courageous, virile and erudite subalterns.

The vision of the NDA is to produce officers with broad-based training in both military and academic subjects designed to serve as a foundation for the future progressive development of officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

INSTRUCTIONS TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES

1. The candidates whose names appear in this publication were successful at the Nigerian Defence Academy Entrance Examination held on Saturday 18 February 2012. They are to appear for interview before an Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) from Saturday 12 May 2012 - 11 June 2012 at the Nigerian Defence Academy (Old Site), Kaduna. Candidates will appear before the AFSB in 2 batches as follows:
a. Batch 1.           b. Batch 2.  
(1) Abia              (1) Adamawa
(2) Anambra           (2) Akwa Ibom
(3) Bauchi            (3) Benue
(4) Borno             (4) Bayelsa
(5) Cross River       (5) Delta
(6) Edo               (6) Ebonyi
(7) Ekiti             (7) Imo
(8) Jigawa            (8) Enugu
(9) Gombe             (9) Kaduna
(10) Kano             (10) Katsina
(11) Kogi             (11) Kebbi
(12) Nasarawa         (12) Kwara
(13) Niger            (13) Lagos
(14) Ondo             (14) Ogun
(15) Osun             (15) Oyo
(16) Plateau          (16) Sokoto
(17) Taraba           (17) Rivers
(18) Yobe             (18) Zamfara
(19) FCT
2. Candidates who fail to report by Saturday 12 May 2012 and Sunday 27 May 2012 for Batches 1 and 2 respectively will not be allowed to attend the interview. Any Batch 2 candidate who is seen around the NDA premises before 27 May 2012 will be disqualified.

3. All candidates will firstly undergo a screening exercise which involves certificates screening, medical tests and physical fitness tests.
Only candidates who pass the screening exercise will qualify to continue with the interview.

4. Candidates MUST bring along the original and photocopies of the following documents:
a. Academic certificates/statements of result, and testimonials for primary and secondary schools (junior and senior).
b. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, preferably Birth Certificate.
c. Proof of State/Local Government Indigeneship duly signed by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of Local Government, as the case may be. Certification obtained from a Military Officer from the same state of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and above or equivalent in the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force can be used in place of Local Government Indigeneship Certificate. In this case, the Officer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail address. The officer must also affix formation/unit stamp and sign.
d. Acknowledgement Cards for external SSCE/GCE only.
e. Acknowledgement Forms downloaded from the Internet and/or proof of purchase of the Application Form from Zenith Bank.

Candidates who fail to bring along the documents listed above will be disqualified. Any alterations on the documents will attract outright disqualification.

5. Candidates are to also bring along the following items:
a. Writing materials.
b. Three blue shorts and 3 white T-shirts.
c. A pair of white canvas shoes and 3 pairs of white socks.
d. Toiletries.
e. Non-refundable fee of N2,500.00 each for verification/confirmation of results at WAEC/NECO.
f. Sufficient money for transport to and from Kaduna.
g. Scratch cards for WAEC and/or NECO results for online confirmation of result.
h. Four recent coloured passport photographs.
i. Second copy of Postcard Photograph that was presented and endorsed at the Exam Centre during the Entrance Examination.
j. ECG and genotype results obtained from a recognized hospital in the country, duly signed by a qualified medical doctor whose
contact address and phone number(s) must be indicated.
